For almost 5 years, Wouter is part of our light team together with his colleagues Serge, Thomas and Bas. The beginning of his career started when he went to China, Club One Third Hangzhou. He spent approximately seven weeks doing preparations while managing the locals to make sure that the team was ready and the club could open its doors on time. Wouter is a team player and loves to collaborate, communicate and solve problems.
“It was quite a rollercoaster back in 2019. It started off with Club One Third Hangzhou, festival Untold in Romania, the celebration of KLM 100 years, the Dutch festival Paaspop, a show in London and many more projects. In 2020, COVID forced, but also helped me to develop skills in new areas such as green screen light design. I became studio manager for the broadcast studio of Albert Heijn. In this role I faced a lot of challenges that forced me to get out of my comfort zone. I have learned a lot of leadership skills throughout this experience such as decision making, time management and delegation. Not only a positive turning point in my career, but also in my personal life.
Right now I am back “LIVE” again, I’m touring with the Dolly Dots. It is a lot of fun on stage and behind the scenes. Especially last month, I celebrated my birthday together with the Dots after one of their Sisters On Tour shows. One for the books!”
